Cardinal Wrestling Club, Inc. is a
501(c3) entity that uses wrestling to educate, train, and inspire
athletes to achieve their goals both in athletics and in life.
Based in Palo Alto, CWC conducts regular
clinics for elementary thru high school and Olympic level wrestlers to
perfect their technique and assist in their training toward local,
state, national, and international competitions. It also provides
stipends and financial assistance to collegiate and post‑graduate
international competitors including Matt Gentry, Vic Moreno, and
Enkhtur Badamsaikhan.
The goal of CWC is to raise the competitiveness
of Northern California's wrestlers and, at the same time, continue to
promote the sport through the entire nation. To reach our goal we
need your financial support and assistance. Our goal is to raise
$50,000 annually.
Matt Gentry, Stanford University's first NCAA
wrestling champion and this year's Canadian National Champion, is
currently a volunteer assistant coach with Stanford's Division 1
wrestling team. Matt is also competing internationally looking toward
the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Vic Moreno, a Cal-Poly graduate and
two-time NCAA All-American just won the Sunkist and New York Athletic
Club International Tournaments at 55 kilograms, and is also aspiring
towards representing the United States in the upcoming Olympics. Both
athletes are coaches for ATWC and are receiving training stipends.
CWC's Directors hold a shared common vision of
excellence in life and in athletics. Please join our Directors--accomplished
athletes, Olympians, coaches and businessmen-- to assist young athletes
in their dream of state and national championships and to assist
post‑graduate athletes to achieve their international and
Olympic dreams.
